Cats Illustrated's Catwoman : This site, dedicated to the comic book character 'Catwoman', is one created by a very dear & close friend of mine named Andrea. When I was seeking a subject on which to construct a site to practise my HTML skills, this was the site that inspired me and gave me the idea. I thought if my friend could create such an excellent and popular site on her favourite comic book character, perhaps I too should make one about the character I am passionate about. Thus, the idea of creating a Phantom site took birth in my mind. By the way, I definitely recommend visiting Andrea's site. I am sure you would love it as much as I do, no matter whether you are a Catwoman fan or not.

The Dark Knight Site : This is a site, created by Patrick Furlong, that is extremely popular among Batman fans. [Here I have to admit that although I am a Phantom freak, I admire Batman too.] The thing I love most about this site is the great extent of interaction that takes place between Batman fans who take full advantage of the message board and the chat room of the site (which, by the way, have been programmed by the webmaster himself!). It was through this site that I made some wonderful friends, a few of which, including Andrea mentioned above, have become a very important part of my life. Thus, from this site, I got inspired to at least make an effort in my own humble way to bring together Phantom fans. If only two, just two people become good friends because of my site, I would deem the entire purpose of this site fulfilled.

The Deep Woods & The Ph@ntom : These are two sites dedicated to The Phantom. The Deep Woods site, created by Bryan Shedden, was the first Phantom site I ever visited after getting an internet connection. And I was truly impressed. Of course, that would have been no surprise if I had known earlier how popular this site was among Phans. The Ph@ntom site, created by Daniel Leahy, is equally impressive. These two sites, whose webmasters have become good friends of mine, assured me that if I went ahead with my plan to make a Phantom site, it would not be in vain. The popularity of these sites convinced me that there are Phantom Phans out there who do visit sites dedicated to their favourite hero, making sure that the efforts of the webmasters do not go to waste.
These were the sites that acted as my inspiration when I set forth to build a site of my own. However, there is a person about whom if I do not mention, this page would be incomplete. That person is the creator of the Phantom himself -- Leon Lee Falk. This is the man because of whom all things Phantom exist. I thank him for presenting to us The Phantom... man who cannot die... the ghost who walks... a character whom we have loved and adored for years, a champion of good over evil, someone who has acted as an inspiration to many. Thank you, Lee and a big thanks to all those who have been instrumental, although unknowingly, in the making of this site.
